When we say sleeping pattern, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine just promotes that 8 to 9 hours of continuous sleep in the night is very much essential for a person to work effectively the next day morning, having said that I have patients who say they are not able to get the continuous number of hours of sleep and they try to have a two hour nap in the afternoon. Though I don’t recommend it , I feel it works for you then go ahead. Though we say a circadian rhythm of sleep, we are looking at 8 to 9 hours of continuous sleep in the night, for effective health. Having said that, not medicine involves sleep, first there are many factors where a person can have disturbed sleep, one of that would be the lifestyle. You carry a sedentary lifestyle or associated habits like smoking or alcohol every other night or it can also be because you are having an under related psychiatric issues, which you are not able to speak to anybody and you are suffering n the inside. There can be many factors where a person’s sleep is disturbed. So I would not recommend anyone to go for a medicine induced sleep, but I would definitely say to visits your physician or a psychiatrist if you are undergoing any of such issue can make sure that your circadian rhythm of sleep pattern is improved.
